    No I just noticed

You were replying to the my original post on your other replies. You did it properly this time. Just wondered if you were using flat mode or something to view the posts

Scoreboard - when they buy another will they make sure they fill the bits in at either side with ads, they seemed to have missed that opportunity.

East Stand PA - "It was working well enough to wake a local man asleep in his home who was on nights", Given that, sat in the stand it sounded muffled as though it might sound if you were outside the stadium, perhaps they had the speakers facing the wrong way if he could hear it and we couldn't. Perhaps for the next game I could let him have my phone number and he can ring me up to tell me the starting line ups, substitutions etc!

Well done on sorting out the ridiculous matter that we couldn't write our chairman's name!

    Regarding emails

I don't know why they don't have an automated reply to every email they receive. Doesn't take much setting up and the sender has acknowledgement that the email has been received.

I've lost count in the past of how many times I have tested my email account when sending emails to the club as I thought that was why I had had no response!

Thanks City. Interesting read, basically is along the lines that I thought except for the rumour matters. Life has always involved rumours, whispers, gossip and speculation, always has done. Seems a little thin skinned for me. However I would really like to see a copy of the accounts when produced and a chairman working for nowt, well why increase the overheads of the business when you have a guy who has a genuine interest in the club with a proven track record in business prepared to do it !!!

All very nice, all very good. When things get done, then I'll believe it. At the moment it seems little more than lip service. Words mean nothing, it's action that is important.

    RE: Typical..

After all the ******** over the last few years - I think I'm right not to believe. Ever heard the saying "Actions speak louder than words"? When things start to improve (I'm talking about the proffesionalism of the club - NOT the playing side), then I'll hold my hands up and say I was wrong.

The Full Ponty and Tyketical Masterstroke's comments of a couple of weeks ago said it all. Fans are offering their services for free and still nothing is happening to improve the shoddy way in which the club is being run (IMHO) at the moment. City Tyke - you have done an absolutely trememndous job with this BBS - don't fall into the trap TT fell into. Both Mr Shepherd and Mr Ridsdale said all the right words. It's actions and results that count.

    RE: Typical..

I too have been sceptical Gary, but to be fair there are some improvements starting to come through - the match programme is the best I've ever seen from us, everybody commented how impressed they were with the Season Ticket books, most people (myself included) like the new shirts...etc.

With the new IT and ticketing systems imminent too, I have to admit that when you start to think about it there is quite a bit of evidence that improvements have been/are being made.

Maybe we've been fed so much bs for so long that we can't see the wood through the trees any more.

I think the guys deserve a fair crack of the whip and a longer 'bedding in' time rather than being tarred with Ridsdale's brush.

    Hear you loud and clear...

I was pulling your leg not trying to change your mind. I've read your comments long enough to realise it takes at least a couple of hours of arguing to do that... :D

That's fair point Ian - but as you so rightly say, we've been fed crap since John Dennis' days - enough to turn the most ardent fan into a complete cynic. Let's hope GS is as good as his word, and things ARE being done to improve things. You have to admit from our "business days", that sometimes minimal investment (such as fixing a tannoy and a good telephone manner), can go a long, long way.

Car companies don't provide high quality brochures for nothing if you understand what I'm saying.

Not these days mate, new BBS, new Roundsman. After all the rubbish we've been fed for a number of years now, it's a natural defensive technique to prepare yourself for another "false dawn". I truly hope that ISN't the case.

I'm pleased for you.....but out of the six of us that usually buy a shirt every season, only one has been bought, each to his own,I would be interested to know what the sales figures for shirts are this season compared to last season. You like it though so thats all that matters
