Any ideas about the new manager ? I don't think we'll appoint anyone currently employed by another club . However , the list of experienced men available isn't particularly long .

 

As you know

When all this first broke, my first thought was Iain Dowie. When I saw he was in talks with Hull last week, I thought that would be it but he's still on the market. Thing is, if he's turned them down, I can't see how we'd be a much more attractive prospect.

As for the rest that are available, I can't say I'm particularly inspired by any of them but it's not my decision to make, thankfully!

We can only hope that they make a wise choice & back him when needed with the necessary funds. Going straight back down on the basis that "we got promoted earlier than planned" would be an absolute disaster.

Dowie was , and still is , my first choice . Of the others , they all seem much of a muchness to me . Whoever the club appoints , it won't be met with universal approval amongst the fans .
