BBS walking club could be a great idea for the summer?
Fleece pub in Holme for a bacon butty then walk to Boshaw Trout in Hade edge for a pint is my favourite walk, about 8 miles round trip, highly recommend it.

I don’t know if this is your situation no but a lot of workplaces have mental health first aiders. If you have talk to them.

If you are being bounced around by services ask for an appointment with the Spar Team. There are also MH cafes usually staffed by ex or current service users and have really helped people (according to the missus who is a MH nurse)

It’s not fully installed yet. However if anyone on here wishes to get out in the fresh air during the week, I need help with the installation - particularly putting in fence posts and building planters.

How about the Barnsley Boundary walk in stages? I’ve been doing something similar in Sheffield. Get a bus to the day’s starting point, walk the route and finish in a pub/ cafe for a drink.

Great shout. I've done it and it's a beautiful walk, and because it's roughly a circle you're never that far from the town centre. Plenty of bus connections, shops and pubs.

Don’t suppose you have a copy of the route you could link to your website??

Good advice. I've used Andy's Man Club in Leeds in the past. Everyone there has been in the same boat. It's just a talking group that's quite structured in its format. You don't need to say owt on your first visit if you don't want, but you'll get some perspective & see there are people that have been on the edge that are working out their issues & seeing better days. Like all illnesses recovery can take time & there are always set backs. When you hear what other people have been through you get perspective that you are not on your own.

There are obviously other routes like CBT / counselling, etc. For me AMC worked better, as instead of focusing just on your own issues you get to realise you are not alone in this. Meds work for some people & not others. They don't discuss meds at AMC, just life. Meds are for GP's to proscribe.

You're not alone mate. Our minds make us feel so, but people care more than you know.

    Hope you feel better soon
