    Next time the BBC agree their broadcasting deal I bet if they say, "we don't want those complimentary tickets that you give us, lower the fee", they'll save at least 50% won't they?

    Of course they will, you're right, how stupid of me.

    I wonder if there was anything stopping them from giving the tickets away in competitions?

    I could have saved you a lot of time & effort.

    Loko is spot on. We haven't 'paid' for those tickets. The rights would cost just the same whether we took up our allocation or not. And the seats themselves would not be sold to punters if broadcasters didn't take them up - they're either unused spaces in the press box or seats around camera positions that can't be sold due to restricted views or cabling/safety issues. So sorry to disappoint, 'Super'Tyke, but we did all enjoy the hissy-fit. </p>

    whatever arguement regarding the source of tickets by the beeb is lost by the apointing of the wally with a brolly as a pundit.
