yes, its funny that the main thing Jesus talked about (reportedly), was giving up one's worldly possessions to help the poor, yet they all seem more interested in birth control, which wasn't even mentioned...

They work really hard and deserve their money. Everyone else is just lazy and jealous.

Well, somebody had to say it...

It's obscene. Just think how much good could be done with that money. It won't be of course, because these people are psychopaths, driven by greed and the exploitation of others.

If the minimum wage rose at the same rate as top bosses pay it would be £19 per hour.

The church of the poor for the poor never had anything been so badly named.

Most of us are probably in the top few percent of the worlds top earners. At least, I seem to remember hearing that somewhere...

    Just a quick question.

Do you imagine these people to have big piles of cash?

Or do you think perhaps people like the Waltons - the richest family in the world with a combined wealth of $150 billion have it actually invested in things like supermarkets and distribution centres providing direct employment for over 2 million people and indirect employment for millions more.

Now - I am the last person to defend the Waltons. Well maybe not the last - but fairly near the end of the queue. just in front of Redstar.

The Waltons are the worst examples of capitalists and the fact that Walmart employees claim huge amounts of benefits whilst at the same time the coorporation pays little relative tax and and when a Walmart opens every other shop in town closes and a whole other bunch of stuff which makes me hate Walmart.

However this aspect is a side issue to what should be done.

Who would buy this assett that contributes to this wealth. How could this wealth be converted to good.

Just how is the problem resolved.

In the past "wealth" only lasted three generations. Generation 1 earned it. 2 consolidated and 3 - the generation that was born with it p1ssed it up the wall and the wealth returned to the bottom.

However these days I agree with you in that re-distributing the wealth of these 85 is a major problem. Inheritance tax just doens't work with these guys and no one can get that drunk!

I agree with you 100%. It is very disturbing. But what is the solution. And lets be grown up the solution isn't siezure, nationalisation or revolution. .
