we still have not brought anybody in despite how badly effected we are with injuries and COVID. It’s actually laughable.
Its border line neglect of the club like the summer window was, like how the weststanders have been treated and i could go on. Shame some people are still fence about these clowns or have the could be worse could be bury attitude, or least we have a club etc.
We have accepted relegation this lot wont be challenging next season in league one and anyone who we can get out for will be sold id guess brittain gone this window and maybe another.
It would be negligent to sign people just for the sake of buying someone. They're not perfect, but you seriously can't expect them to sign people up on long term contracts to cover for people who have covid temporarily.
The transfer market is being really slow this month. The Covid cancellations will have left clubs delaying or refusing to let players leave, which in turn likely scuppers our chances of someone being allowed to leave elsewhere. I still think it's poor management from the top and we could, and should, have been better prepared. But I'd rather we didn't sign 2-3 players way down our target list if it meant we got 2-3 that were higher up by waiting. As always though, this is guess work and speaking hypothetically. It might just be a case that we've not tried very hard.
I can completely believe it, they are saving cash wherever they can. I’ll be surprised if we make any signings
I honestly can believe it. Nobody's buying, nobody's selling. We aren't doing either, cos we are DOOMED !!
I can believe it, it's the same every January. Regardless of ownership, it's the nature of the January transfer window. We're obviously trying to bring players in, but for whatever reason we've not got them over the line yet. I expect we'll have 3 new players by the window closing.
Remember the “Best transfer window ever!” A few seasons ago? Which would you rather have, lots of ***** or no signings?
We could easily have been lining up tonight with Butterfield and Kane in midfield, which would’ve been much better than what we will actually have.
I struggle to believe that anyone thought we would. That's not a dig at anyone, it's genuine surprise.
Refraining from agreeing on Butterfield but I get the point as at least you've then got experience. Currently playing for the team bottom of the SPL and started at the weekend when they got knocked out by Kelty Hearts. I think they've lost every game since he got there. It probably shows how poor we are in midfield so many supporters think he would improve it.
I believe there are fairies at the bottom of my imaginary garden. I have it on good authority that no rules were broken, even if De Falafel Fat Boy Small Johnson didn't know he was at a party, despite having a party hat on & blowing a whistle that hit Matt Hancock squarely in the face. That meant Matt "was out", tough luck Matt. At least you fleeced the NHS. Do I believe we will bring anyone in? Maybe a 18 year old Belgian with a bad injury record.
I think he'd improve us considerably. The merits of the other 10 players in his current team do not have any influence on my opinion of him. I've seen him play, live in front of me, dozens and dozens of times. He's a better central midfielder than any of our current central midfield players, by some distance. Would I have signed him? No, I think, at his stage of his career, there are better younger options. But would he have improved us? Yes, of course.
