I dont know what you were watching there. The ball had gone out for a goal kick but instead of going to get a ball, Killip went in the nets to dry his gloves on the towel hung on the net. Blatant time wasting, hence the booking.

I think Refs fall for the media darlings all the time when they are supposed to be impartial. If David Beckham were to join our board, we'd get far more favourable decisions our way than the run-of the-mill teams..

To be fair he was going to get booked regardless at some point for the time wasting - I’m not arsed about it we won they would have done the same had they been winning just funny he choose that one in particular

    Interesting take.

I think his ‘opinion’ is perhaps justified. At least in part. I can see his point. Even if I don’t concur.

If he just chose not to wear a poppy, as Nemanja Vidic used to, then that’d be about ok. For me at least.

However he actively shows distaste, disrespect, hatred for the country that gives him his living (and despite his hatred the one he was actually born in), he intentionally stokes things up with supporters in stadiums and online, he posts pictures of himself online dressed as an Irish paramilitary. He’s a class A ********. He’s made a career of being a martyr and being the innocent victim. It’s boll.ocks.

As for today, he threw a punch in full view of the officials, after at least three other incidents in which he might have been booked. The ref must have seen it, he looked straight at it.

He should have had at least one yellow card. I’m not surprised he didn’t. I think refs do have reluctance to treat him normally for fear of being accused of singling him out.

I agree with your take on his beliefs. He's entitled to them and to not wear a poppy it's the way he goes about it. But a punch, really, I'd have to see it again didn't look like much of a punch.

It wasn’t much of one - more of a flick out but the fist was clenched from what I could see- and if he’d only got booked I’d have been ok with it - though I’ve seen much less be red carded.

As it was the ref completely ignored it, Connell went mad at him about it. He’d seen it but bottled it.

Doesn’t matter. We got the three points and we don’t have to worry about him.

TBF O Keefe needs a good punch! We’ve had a lot of diving cheats over the years but never someone who constantly goes down as if he’s been shot with an Armalite - then bounces back up.
I think McClean just called him a Jackeen tw@t and flicked his nuts. No harm done. And surely it’s time to book Corey for that stupid bloody bandage. Daft sod.

I honestly think you’re right, he’s very very open and opinionated about his beliefs and from clips I see he’s always at the forefront drama…….ill stand my claims that I think he’s a *****

I can’t see how that booking can stand - how can you be booked for time wasting when the ball boy was in the process of getting the ball back to you from the stands.

I don't think bookings can be appealed.
It was bizzare to say the least from what I could see.

Killip got asked about it in Rimmingtons after the game. He wasn’t bothered just happy we got the home win.

I thought the ref had a taking pity attitude on that 1st major incident with McClean. Given the stick he was getting early in the game.
