Its a great theory, national success on the pitch increases as a direct result of increased hooliganism, I'm shining my red dockers up first thing in the morning

The reason we can't put "B teams" in our second division is that we have four professional divisions. Nobody else in Europe does.

What we need to do is stop loans, and stop kids being signed by the top teams and not played. How is bench warming going to help your development? We have loads of kids who just can't get a game because they sign for big money and never play.

Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City are the most guilty of this...

I understand you might not have lived in other countries much but when ever any team play in England in any major game there are stories in the national media of that country warning about British crowd trouble and hooliganism. The so called "British Disease".

It's irrelevant to this discussion any way. Things we could learn from the Germans how to organise a national team. How to organise our league to benefit the national team. Long term planning of got all rather than chasing short term economic gain, how to run club football in the interests of fans not Russian billionaires.

About half of the German team plays for Bayern. All Low has to do is replace the non-German players at Bayern with like-for-like replacements from other clubs (Schalke, Arsenal, Dortmund, etc) and play the same way. Perhaps we should pick 4-5 players from $bigclub (doesn't matter which one as long as they have a majority English backbone to the side) and bring in replacements. Either that or centally contract the England team and enter "Team England" in the Premier League...

FA old guard probably think we need to English player quotas, too many foreigners etc ....
Wrong ..... England aint got enough complete players ...
Problem1 - needs a root and branch cultural shift from day 1 ie. Uner 7s - should be about player DEVELOPMENT, not winning.
Problem2 - Premier League - no interest in the national team, its all about the money/staying in PL ....so buy players to win today- oh look problem is same a 1 - winning not development - Chelsea/City buy young foreign developed players and put they in their academies

The Bundesliga is knackered now though, Bayern buy all the best players and win easily, there's no longer any competition whereas in England 3 or 4 teams can win it.

Really which 6 english players would you pick ahead of which Germans?
Some might pick Rooney though I wouldnt, but who else?

If you start at the back - the Germans have the best keeper, none of our back 4 would get near the German bench so thats 5 - are you seriously suggesting our Midfield and Forward line is all better than the German one?

If you look at the end of Mansfield red's sentence, there's a question mark. He isn't suggesting anything. He's asking Hemsworth a question, as after the semi-final Hemsworth said only 5 Germans would get in to the English side.

Ah thanks - I didnt know that - Ive been away on my Jollies and only looked at the board occasionally - didnt even realise Hemsy was back until the weekend so didnt see his comment about the Germans not being good enough for the England team - should have known only only one person would have such a hard to comprehend viewpoint

Not helped by English players being overated. Take for example how Fulham just spent 11 million on a striker. Then compare to Southampton who just signed a foreign striker for a bargain 8 million who's scored 52 goals in the past two seasons.

It's no wonder our premiership teams go for the foreign option. If we were in the premiership i'd want us to be the same. I'd rather us sign a cheap foreign player who'd do the job for us, than spend alot more on someone less experienced just because they are English thus available for the national team.

4 clubs have won the Premier League in the last 11 seasons.
6 clubs have won the Bundesliga in the last 11 seasons.

If you think crowd trouble in England isnt a problem you need to wake up.

Dont get me wrong its dropped but still a massive problem

I have been to many games in Germany and never seen any problems. But i do know they were alot of trouble in London before the champions league final

I understand it does happen BarnsleyLoyal. Some Reds fans got targeted at Huddersfield wasn't it. Thats not good although I think I read they are allowed back to football matches.

That could quite easily have been me and a friend because we could quite easily have gone straight to the train station instead of going for a drink.

Still waiting to hear which 6 of the England team that crashed out in the group stage would get into a team ahead of those German players with a World Cup winners medal.
