I find it hugely ironic that you said I know nothing about the situation and then talk about a drunken kid when the story I was talking about was actually a 27 year old MAN who had damaged six cars, three houses, a fire engine, smashed windows, practically destroyed two chimneys, assaulted police officers, essentially attempted to murder them by throwing bricks at them from height, forced locals to flee the area behind a wall of police riot shields to protect them while they escaped, oh and stole a car. Sounds a bit more than a 'drunken kid' to me. Oh aye, and he was described as a career criminal as well with a criminal record as long as my arm. If you genuinely believe that the way to deal with scum like that is to go out and buy them a bargain bucket from KFC then fair play to you but I personally believe that a ****** like that shouldn't be given anything until he comes down and acts like a human being.
I dont get the human rights issue either - if he is hungry he can come down off the roof it was his choice to be there. If I decide not to leave my lounge can I phone the police and ask for room service on the grounds my human rights are being infringed if I get hungry and they should fetch me some food its just as dumb an idea as giving food to someone on a roof
Finally, someone who get's my point. I thought I was the only person on here who thought it was a bit silly to reward a violent criminal with a takeaway delivered by a crane
Unless it was nicely laced with something to send him to sleep - though that might be a bit dangerous if he was on a roof
