The companies that own our vital infrastructures such as water, Gas, Electricity, Transport should all be Nationalised then the general public will be protected from the hikes in prices we are witnessing. We wouldn’t need those income tax cuts/ rebates

    Some good responses thankyou.

My only comments are if I didn't have bosses it's doubtful I would have a job without a lot of start up money it's difficult to set up your own business and bring in enough money to live and the world needs workers to do the jobs, also I don't know for a fact if any of our political parties and leaders are strong enough to turn it around and its not as simple as simple as saying its the government problem to deal with we all need to take responsibility to make it work.

That's the problem - when times are good it's those at the top who reap the extra benefit but when times are hard we're suddenly all in it together and need to take responsibility...

For anyone who still thinks the Tories are the best party for the economy, this graph shows that they are clearly not. Growth upto the financial crash was about 2% and carried on at that rate under Labour till Cameron got in. Since then it has been 0.6%.

When was it last good? I'm 51 and this is the first time in my life where I can now afford to put the kids in the car and go to the match if we want because I can afford to without sacrificing something else. That is nothing to do with Boris or Blair or my bosses sharing their wealth but years of my hardwork and dedication to my job finally paying off.
I'll never forget the years and years of being skint and in debt and the effect that's had on me and my family.

That's what I'm saying - when times are good they're only really good for those at the top. Reaching a comfortable standard at 51 shouldn't be a matter of pride and achievement, rather it should be a matter of anger that despite your hard work and dedication you weren't comfortable previously.

People basically have Stockholm Syndrome when it comes to work and capitalism.

I asked you politely to let me post without you having a go. My post certainly isn't I'm alright so **** everyone else and anybody can see that.

You have to stop or admin stop you doing it @Gally or we go for a pint and discuss it face to face.

You can't keep having a dig on here and that be classed as acceptable it's not and I'm not accepting it.

I'm setting off to Derby in half hour with my kids if you want to say hello.

You tagged him out of nowhere purely to say ‘don’t reply to me’ which is weird as anything in the first place. He didn’t even reply to you anyway as you weren’t quoted, so it should be read as a reply to the OP or possibly a general reply to the whole thread (which doesn’t make sense in this case as most people are saying they support the strike so it must be to the OP).

I tagged him in because of all the previous messages I have had from him and I had a good idea he would respond with something derogatory so not weird at all.

Alright I apologise I was wrong if it was to the OP, even if it was aimed at the OP then you are still out of order. Let people ask their questions and make points without having a dig.

You speak like someone who has been conditioned into rationalising and accepting an abusive relationship.

Then maybe don’t tag people into a thread who weren’t even posting in it just to get angry at them and try to start an argument/not so subtly offer them out for a fight. Just a thought.

Why would I go fighting I'm too old too tired and I'm with my kids.
I've explained why I have tagged him in which SuperTyke would understand it was also a lighthearted tag and I did that to avoid an argument. You have got it all wrong and you are actually are making matters worse

Not at all mate, I look at things gor what they are and make the best decisions I can at the time. As for this thread I'm not sure mass striking is beneficial to the majority.

Cheers pal, I'll fall in line and be careful what I write.
I just ask for people's opinions not abuse or smart arse comments. If people read my posts properly before firing off a ridiculous reply then like the majority will realise its genuine question and nothing else.
