    Cafe ****ing culture?

There's more cafes and little eateries in barnsley than I can count.

Lets be a bit more original.

They're a dying breed for a reason mate. Can't make money on drink alone, too difficult.

My favourite being the stationary shop/cafe next to Cash Converters.

Not a bad choice. Did you attend a craft class?

I actually think you'll see a renaissance of 'proper pubs'. Probably due to novelty value! Go to kelham island for example - it's rockin!

Absolutely amazed to see that Blockbuster was still going to be honest.

Not heard of anyone hiring a DVD or video for years.

Niche is the way to go, HMV had a chance, they were still seen as having some cool kudos, but they went down the wrong way, trying to compete with the big boys and online stores.

Yeah good point. Don't see the point of people buying their groceries online. Someone packs it all for them but uses stuff ready to go out of date to get rid of it and fruit starting to not look it's best. Best to go to the supermarket and put your hand right to the back of a shelf where they hide the fresher products with longer dates on.

We can have a new 'Dreamy Tips' forum, please? I'd like to add this one along with 'never get with a bird in Sizzlers at 3am'

Been there, done that, bought the ****ing t-shirt my friend. Its ****. An awful thing that I wouldn't wish upon anyone (well, maybe a few people).

But yes, the world does move on. A hundered years ago there will have been jobs and trades that don't exist anymore, and in 10 years my job may not so I'll have to go out there and do something else.....

Wow, didn't think anyone still did this, certainly not in the 'traditional way' - we rent DVD's, but from Lovefilm. Or, if it is hard to find I download them, specialist stuff, European or Japanese films, not child or animal porn.

    I didn't burn them.

well the more we become dependent on the internet the more time we will all have to browse it for bargains... shame so many wont have the cash to buy ouwt as they will all be jobless...
packing stuff in warehouses will never cover the amount of jobs lost when shops shut

one day we will all dream for the high street to come back just for somewere to go
