    Not sure. Just prefer a penalty taker to be a more attacking player. Then again we had loads of possible penalty takers back in those days that you'd be comfortable taking one for the team. Keith Brown would make a good WSB Issue 4 interview.....

    Aye, I know, with 20 minutes left or summat. Fit enough for the bench, fit enough to start IMO. And even half fit, he'd have been better than Brown.

    But we had Jones on the bench. That's the kicker for me.

    I believe that was the only one he ever missed, either before or after. Hignett, meanwhile, had blazed that one over the bar on his debut v Middlesbrough.

    The 'non-attacking' Darren Barnard had 15 goals to his name that season.

    Correct. The Yorkshire Post reckoned we had the easier run-in and that we would make automatic (with 7 games left)
