Sorry, old mate, but I think you're 100% wrong. I don't believe he's lied at all. By the same token, I don't always agree with his team selections, but so what? If we're talking about whether he should've said what he did in public, I think he should have acted far more professionally and kept his views in-house. But I honestly don't believe he's lied.
Right, so what is going wrong behind the scenes? Struber was feted by our owners but look at what his parting shot was. If the respect was there, he'd surely have done the usual I've loved my time here, wish Barnsley well but this was too good an opportunity for me to pass up etc etc.
0 assists before Struber came in. 10 assists while playing for Struber. Also scored more under Struber last season.
And who was the most important member of his team ? If your saying Brown then we’ll have to leave it there.
Best to leave it then. The player with the most ability may not always have the most crucial role in any team. In GS formation Brown played the most important role so aye if you can’t spot that probably best not to embarrass yourself.
Not embarrassed at all. Just a different opinion. Been debated b4. That’s why I said we’ll leave it there.
Fully expect he will. I’ve always suspected since the RB story broke, the deal is done, just awaiting an announcement. I’m expecting the club to release a Thank you, release clause etc statement and similar from Struber.
Of course he should be ambitious , but his and the clubs ambitions should be agreed on at interview level & if there is a difference ,then he should not have either been offered the job or he should not have accepted the job .
I heard Hecky was going to be sacked and Leeds the did the board a favour as they didn't want to upset the fans. Although they never liked his outbursts whilst the takeover was being done. If it wasn't for the Red Bull link and Struber having a tiny bit of stock he'd be sacked. It's compo that's talking and better to get something for him. I just hope it doesn't drag on too long. Only thing the board have done wrong for me was not placing Struber on leave due to ongoing negotiations with Red Bull New York.
possibly he was told one thing during interview but the reality is different. That’s happened to me a couple of times and I didn’t hang around long as a result. It happens in all occupations so I’m presuming that football isn’t exempt.
But surely our modus operandi dictates that nobody with a. Ambition and b. Self respect will apply for the job. History tells us that BFC coaches either bail, or are actively looking to bail before their stock in the game is ruined.
You could be bang on ,but playing devils advocate & Struber went along with everything the club said at the interview, but now he has had his head turned it becomes a convenient face saver to blame the club for the current state of play & use it as an excuse to justify jumping ship , who knows ?
I would suspect he took the job knowing the limitations and agreeing a few tweaks in advance and his comments are not much more than a ham fisted attempt to explain his reasons for leaving. Him saying the board don’t match his ambitions may not in his eyes be a negative but a reality. Added to that could also be translation errors.
When taking a new job you get a few allowances. Then after that it's back to the plan. Hecky got Mcburnie and Moore before he left. Stendel got Dougall, Woodrow and Bahre during his honeymoon. Struber has had the same if not more backing. Once the honeymoon is over it's left to recruitment alone.
Often true and people also forget it was allowances for the exception and feel hard done to once it’s back to the norm.
Hence all of them chucking their toys out of the pram and slating the quality of the team they have had a hand in building.
