But we haven't suddenly arrived at riots in the streets and people setting hotels alight by magic. Everyday politics has gradually led us to this. I'm left of centre but I can see the need for a centre right party in the UK. It represents a sizeable proportion of the population. Unfortunately the centre right, one nation Tory party has decisively moved hard right in the last ten years and paved the way for Reform and the demonisation of "others". Most people could see that and have tried to confront it. Still are. The older I get the more vital I see an involvement in political debate or christ knows where we're headed to next.
Twitter is losing a fortune - to the extent that Space Karen is now threatening to sue advertisers who aren't advertising because of the toxic content.
Yeah I can understand that.. although in fairness we jut had a general election so politics has been at the forefront of people's minds. Hopefully it calms down. I openly admit to enjoying the US politics threads. It's a bit like slowing down when you drive by a car crash on the M1. We all no we shouldn't do it but it's hard to look away
Yep I understand that. The scary thing is that a number of prominent people seem to think he'll win. The point I was making is Twitter sits top of the pile of social media. The point of the OP is valid. Every where you look you see embedded tweets. Far more than any other social media. It's always the centre of attention.
I disagree. If we're going to go down that route you may as well say just football on here. No one has to click on any of those links, I rarely do.
All too often that's not the case though. Maybe people should be a little more descriptive when creating their thread?
