I think this would be a good start to solving the obvious problems defensively

    Best way to solving the defesive problems is to play with 2 wingers. It may sound a little stupid as wingers are usaully attacking players, but it would allow them to do the attacking and the full backs to defend. Most our problems come from the flanks because we have no cover their and we are getting hit on the break. Andy Johnson also gets caught out of position a lot as he gets drawn to the ball too easily.

    I think Davey has been watching too many Premiership managers...

    Thing is, it only works when you can 'rest' Torres and still choose from Crouch/Kuyt/Babel/Voronin. Not 'rest' Istvan and have Coulson as back up.</p>

    Piss poor manager obviously confusing things by playing 3 different formations in the last 3 matches. Players must wonder what the hell is going on.</p>

    442, best available 11 and some stability. How are the players supposed to 'gel' when each week they're asked to play with different players in different formations? Totally baffled by the whole season so far.</p>
