I think we should stick with Simon Davey for first 12 games.

Exactly.

I couldn't give a ****, to be honest. He's not the best manager but he's certainly not the worst.

I think the bad decisions he's made have been weighed against the chunk of bad luck we've had this year.

Where I sit there's been a few grumbles but no out and out calls for his head

... mind you the average age of the area is maybe mid 50s and have seen it all before. (we have to poke some with a stick to see if they're still alive)

...... hmmmm travelling rug with the club crest on. It's the future !

Colace available from day one next season (NB - we were properly messed about there and I do think had he played we would be higher) - Davey decides to play two wingers - I think we will be ok. Hume back too. I'd give him until end Sep (10 games) to prove he can do it.

Last three games he gone 442 and it has worked in my view.

I take your point funnyfella23 but, while waitng for those 10 games to come and go would you consider giving the man, say, £1m to spend?

there are many clubs having " the manager debate " and the majority are in the leagues below us.
My view is that we cant keep changing managers.
My desire is that Simon Davey as a young manager LEARNS from the obvious mistakes that have been made,in team selection, tactics, substiutions,if so we are a top 10 side next year.
The squad with a proper championship centre forward and a championship experienced centre half with pace( and hammill on a years loan ) isnt far off that.
If the management team dont recognise where the problems have been and yes they have created them, a change needs to be made, but as has been posted previously we have CHAMPIONSHIP footie at the `well next season and thats more than a relief.
I do have a problem with the " non attenders" at the `well ( southern based and work commited apart ) that come on here and stir the **** up and sit back and have a good laugh.
think its pretty obvious who they are

Simon Davey has been coaching or managing players for 12 years

If he was going to learn he would have done by now

the championship as a league changes year to year and we need to be up to the challenge and ok what you say is " correctish " but if this seasons " errors " are addressed I have no problem. But if they arent a decision needs to be considered.

If Anderson is allowed to push forward,

then maybe.

A lot of the time Colace is very slow and seems to always play a square/backwards ball and rarely makes a tackle.

Better options out there IMHO

I agree

I think the squad of players we have is fairly decent but if a new manager came in, he'd want to put his mark on the team and probably make a lot of changes. Can we afford to do that? Is there any need to do that? Obviously if we were relegated a lot of players would have left anyway - but if Davey stays we'll more than likely keep a similar squad, adding a few this summer.
