Southend Fan In Peace Sorry about ShrimperMac earlier. His electronic tag fell off and he was on the loose for a couple of hours, but thankfully we've caught up with him. Just a view from the other side. I'd say you guys have got the makings of a decent side and wanted to play yesterday, rather than some of the dirge we witnessed last season with 11 behind the ball for 90 minutes. Dan Crowley looks a class act and the midfield in general looked good, but there seemed to be a lack of understanding with the two fellas upfront and the full-backs looked a bit edgy. We aren't any great shakes to be honest and were saying similar things about our lot a few weeks back, but a bit of confidence and a couple of results and we are suddenly a different side. Looks like you have a young side and definitely a young manager, but I guess it's a long road if you play the patience game with him. Good luck for the rest of the season. Thought you were worth a point yesterday. Ps, Your fans stuck at it well, too and if that fella wants to video the home game at Oakwell for us, we'll pay him handsomely!
John Lennon was great in midfield apparently. He chose to waste his life smoking marijuana and laying in bed all day with an immigrant
It wasn't a penalty. Granted, it was a foul but it was outside the box. He gave the penalty, which would have resulted in him (the ref) sending Bentley (our keeper) off instead of booking him. Other than that, I feel sorry for you guys having to watch that number 19 every week. Always mouthing off at someone, nothing is ever his fault it would seem. Having read other posts in this thread, hopefully he returns to his parent club sooner rather than later. Decent game I thought, tempers flared a bit in places, starting with the two managers who shook hands not long after. Then there was John White going head to head with Marley Watkins, both players correctly picking up bookings. That was then followed by a small ruckus in the second half, not sure who started it but Cian Bolger (our number 15) was definitely involved. Apart from the losing feeling (I don't mean for that to sound like i'm rubbing it in), I hope you enjoyed your day/weekend and good luck for the rest of the season (apart from when we play you at Oakwell)
