We had one of those, that's what he was doing, you wanted him out.

An experienced manager who has a clue as to what he is doing!

I wanted him out, so did the board and other folk on here!

    Hence he was fired,

He blended youth n experience the problem was he recruited some old turkeys and young turkeys.

Turkeys seem appropriate seeing as the festive season is upon us

That's not because LJ isn't allowed any experienced players, it is because the board couldn't seal the deal on any that LJ wanted. That's different. In the meeting last week it was stated categorically that LJ has the decision on who comes in, assuming the board can then sort it. Nobody comes without it being instigated by LJ. That's what the man said.

I'm not sure I've said that he doesn't identify players (along with others). But he identifies players within the strategy he is given (which I understand isn't his), he doesn't deal with the financial side, and doesn't conclude the deals. If any of that is incorrect then fair enough. But there's not a lot of control there IMO.

The reasons why he has no experience are hugely important in understanding what went wrong, but whatever that reason it also doesn't change the fact he currently has no experience.

Not really stupid....a passing comment....hardly the Declaration of Independence or the Gettysburg Address

As to the other point concerning the shelves, I know the lad who did the job, apparently he put the nails right into the brickwork with a Hilti gun, to put everyone's mind at rest he has assured me they will never fall down.

This sack LJ campaign on here is basically an 8 person circle jerk on here I think the majority of people aren't quite as rabid and just want to see improvement at the club.

It's an experiment that has gone wrong and everyone at the club has to take a bit of responsibility for it.
Presumably Johnson was asked at his interview to work within a youth-only framework and the board and owner now take their share of the blame for promoting that model. We are starting to bring in more experienced players, and if Johnson is unable to rejuvenate our fortunes with more experienced players then I agree he should go, but at least he should be first given that opportunity.

Wilson wasnt made to work in a youth only policy so I really cannot see the board making LJ do so.

There are still lots of unanswered questions about the stupid decision to get rid of Wilson but if I was the type to come up with random assumptions then I would perhaps suggest that Wilson's refusal to play along with the boards brilliant new strategy and his suggestion to them that they don't know what the **** they are doing and that it won't work may possibly be an explanation. Allegedly....

I would imagine it had more to do with our poor league showing and the dreadful football on show. Unfortunately they delved to new depths by appointing Lee ****ing Johnson.

You mean our mid table position, as close to the play offs as to the relegation zone with long term injured players about to return. I would kill for that kind of "failing" now. Reap what you sow

Wernt we 17th? We were playing awful football, almost as bad as now and he fully deserved to go. Still not sure how he got the job back in the first place.

Despite the so called terrible football under Wilson where do we sit now playing expansive, fluid, POMO football. Oh yeah bottom of the league.

We were 7 points from the bottom 4 and 7 points from the play offs. We had been through a bad run of form undoubtedly but we had been missing half a side for weeks through injury. Prior to that we had been playing some decent stuff. And we were building.

Almost certain that we not be bottom of the league had he still been here. I am convinced we would have been top 6 this season if he were still here. No one will know for sure of course but it was clearly a massive mistake to dump him when we did. And the reasons given for doing so do not stack up and never will.

Bad run of form - he'd won 4 out of his last 9. We'd kill for that run now.

That's not what was said. It was said he gets final say. It wasn't said that he instigates it. I know it was tongue in cheek but I did feel like the 'I ask for a table but you offer me two chairs' comment was pretty telling.
