How's that tie in with the fact Chopra was on the phone to Anthony Kay when the team was travelling back to Barnsley after the final ? He could've put Ritchie on to sort the contract. Because Andy Ritchie sorted all the contracts out didn't he eh ? A 1st team regular of that time told me in April 2006 that Ritchie and Holden were wanted out by the hierachy, irrespective of how the season ended.
Co-****ing-rect. The man someone wanted had already been brought in to manage the Academy. And write reports back on what was going off with the First Team. A random phrase next White Knight.
And look where we've ended up - potless asking Hill & Flitcroft to polish turds (which they are doing in the main part imho)
Well I was in the Tesco Express at Cardiff bay when all the players came in to get drink and food for the coach journey back so they weren't 'on the lash' in Cardiff.
PC wanted Ritchie sacked, the final straw being the appauling performance at Palace away. There were concerns at the level of 'professionalism' on the training ground but if results had been better that wouldve been overlooked.
There's a story from Peter Reid about when traveling home from an away match....with Sunderland I think, pulling off the motorway and stopping at the first pub they could find......
Nov 2006 when wednesday wanted to speak to him. This was in April, before the end of the season and the play offs.
the board could've let ritchie speak with wednesday in october 2006 but refused them. so if they wanted shut why stop them. i think this conspiracy theory is beyond my limited knowledge.
I thought it was about turning down Colin Kazim-Richards, who went on to play a blinder on the Premiership for Sheff Utd.
Was it in the newspapers or something then? I cant remember that at all. Then again I sometimes cant remember my fooking name! Old age!!!
