I get the feeling Oxford have a bit of money behind them now, could be wrong. Agree about Charles though.
Familiar sounds from the Bolton forum...... "I'm not buying the Oxford shut down our midfield angle at all, I saw Thomason, Sheehan, Maghoma, even Ogbeta in plenty of space asking for the ball but it never came. The defense wouldn't take the risk of passing them the ball, so it just went back and forth then hoofed to no-one when it got too embarrassing to pass sideways again" Nicking our tactics.
He's been there 4 years.. not many coaches get half that time.. Spent a fair bit as well for an L1 club.. I'd say he'll be in trouble here after failing again.
Serves them right. After our game the Lord Mayor was there in full regalia lording it up, the players were in the stands drinking beer and celebrating like they were promoted already. **** em
Pleased for Oxford - top set of fans who know who they are and where they’ve come from. If they give it a good go in the Champjonship, they could attract decent crowds - nothing to stop them doing a Luton with some sensible signings. As for Bolton - again, spent the money and got nowhere. Big Vic cost best part of £500k and done nothing again really. Not an Evatt fan at all. But I wouldn’t class him as a failure. Despite that, 4 years and money spent, still in L1 so perhaps their board will see it as a failure.
Their fans seem convinced they'll be losing some big players too. Be interesting to see what happens with Evatt.
He is a shareholder in the club isn’t he? Smart move on the owners part. We should have done the same with Duff. they should preserve with him imho. Odious so and so but he gets his teams playing with bite
I thought that all match. Like their version of mael - earls - Mael- earls - Mael- earls - mael- hoooooffff. Dreadful stuff
They wanted to give him the freedom of the town less than 2 weeks back. Quite a satisfying result given the players were celebrating in the directors box like they were already promoted after beating us.
