How can someone with 22 goals last season "look a right donkey"?

Oh really, so a goalscoring striker makes your team worse or is that because he has Rochdale connections

And some have an irrational hatred of Dale, as this thread illustrates.

There's also a basic lack of knowledge:

Both Dawson and McNulty first played for Hill at Barnsley. Shouldn't we be kicking off at getting your cast-offs? And Cywka too. He did sod all.

Hill, whatever you think of him, has an excellent (if not the best) record at developing strikers in the lower divisions: Murray, Le Fondre, Dagnall, O'Grady, Hogan, Done, Henderson.

It's a rational distaste for your manager, and for the (bulk of) players connected with your club. Rational because the majority of Rochdale-connected players/managers that come to Oakwell turn out to be utter dross.

As for Rochdale (when your present manager isn't in charge), I've said before: I don't care whether you win the Champions League, or go out of business. No rooting for, no cheering against, it's just another club I never think about. As Hill is currently there, though, I wish him and your club nothing but failure.

And when we're signing your carthorse players season after season, and sliding steadily towards League Two as we do so, that concerns me greatly.

Nothing on the Dawson and McNulty error?

It's a struggle to listen to an argument that is factually flawed.

I'm not forcing you to 'listen' to (see 'read') it.

Do what you like. Read it; don't read it. Agree with it; disagree with it; point out its flaws. I'm not bothered.

I've nothing else to add now. Have fun on here. Bye!

We'll get him if we really want him. Bigger club, better wages and probably one of the best setup/facilities in the league. Got to agree we 442, hill is great at spotting a player and developing them.
Still a muppet of the highest order though.

Henderson is a tidy player if available for the Forte money of about 120k worthwhile. if much more than that given his age and lack of resale value probably not worth it.

    Well, that was educational.

Anyway back to the subject at hand. It'll probably come down to whether Henderson wants to leave, if he does then the deal will get done. Wouldn't expect 20 odd goals out of him though, that was a one-off season. If he stays with us I'd be happy with 15 this time around.

Bit touchy old ****. I didn't offer any opinion or insight just a comment!

FWIW, you can't argue with The Berks record at Dale. And I've no issue with your club. Just HIM.

If my club had signed those three I'd be kicking off. Toss the three of em

For the second half of the season he was the no.9. But he's had a career as a second striker or wide player, can even play in midfield. He really seemed to thrive as the main striker, but can't see him getting that role if you have Winnall.

It's the same as Done who found himself scoring loads as a central striker, now he'll be lucky to get a game out wide at Sheff U. Sometimes these players find a position that is specific to the club they're at.

My post was aimed elsewhere really. As illustrated since.
