Really. Imho We dominated a good side for most of the game. Losing to a well taken goal. Can't remember Robert's having to come to the rescue. Whereas their goalie was their mom.
Admitted the ref for a Bizzare last 10 minutes riled the crowd and they voiced their opinions loudly. As for awful. No-one at half time among those around around me and the dozen or so on the concourse thought that.
Fair enough it is your opinion. But I'm a bit surprised you came to that conclusion.

I can't even remember a chance they had other than their goal & the free kick really early on. Respect your opinion Helen, but I think you're being harsh here! The first half against Exeter was by far worse imo. They just sat back in the second half and that's why it was harder to break down, at times we rushed, other times we were too slow, but we did eventually manage it. Could argue 15/20 minutes was 'boring' in that second half, but personally I just think it's because they sat deep and we were looking for an opening. Rest of the game we dominated, easily. Their keeper MOTM by a mile.

Considering their run of form, 6 wins, 8 unbeaten, 5 clean sheets, they beat Portsmouth away 3-0, they beat Bolton at home 1-0 recently. I think we're really underplaying this result tonight!!

Yes we did look awful and slow IMO. I agree their keeper was their MOTM. Although apart from the one he did superbly to keep out at 0-0, I thought most of our shots on target were regulation saves that most keepers would expect to keep out. Plenty of players had an off day such as Williams (again) and Kane. All the backwards and sidewards passing was very slow.

I juat don't think apart from Macatee that there was enough get up and go about them today. We were very slow taking corners, Cadden was messing around with the ball, just put it where the linesmen said, it really can't make that much difference! We were losing the game, some urgency was required!

We can't just run over teams like Liverpool and City, as much as I'd love that :p At half time they were only 4 points from being in the play offs. They're a really good, dangerous side. If we kept taking risky passes and getting up the pitch too quickly, we'd have suffered on the counter, especially that second half when they just sat back & back, we had plenty of time to get back into it - and we did! Then we really ramped it up when the ref did some madness!

I think the backwards and sideways passing was because they had set in to defend in the second half. And they were pretty organised. We often look clueless against a team with all men behind the ball.
We were the better team though and should have been leading at half time.

I completely get your point about the ref firing us up but we definitely weren’t awful. We were excellent first half & on another occasion could’ve scored 3 or 4 by half time.

We weren’t at our best for the first half of the second half though. They defended well & we looked like we were running out of ideas.

I think people complaining about the 2nd half need to realise that we scored 2 goals, Cosgrove missed a sitter, and Brynn made an unbelievable save to his bottom left corner, all while Roberts had absolutely nothing to do.

And that’s just off the top of my head. We can’t have been that bad surely?!?

I thought 1st half apart from them having the monk in goal we should have been 2 or 3 goals infront. Deserved the win today.
