That's right. It's all one big plan. You rebel against the system by running on the pitch. I'm sure you'll be very popular.
I find that people who are too lazy to attempt to spell properly... ...generally have less of worth to say. It's a generalisation based on experience. Mistakes, fine, lack of effort is one of my hates. You may find that others adopt the same attitude in all walks of life. If we were to conduct a statistical analysis of this BBS I strongly suspect there'd be a good correlation between people that don't bother to write real words and ******** spouted.
i dont think it is unrelated. its sold out today cos its a big game and prices are less than half the usual rate.fact. does the cinema or theatre give you such a feeling as when a goal is scored or the banter with the other fans around u? football is entertainment but different to the ones you mentioned. all seater stadia means higher prices etc. did you go on the pitch when we went up in 97? i'v nothing against seated areas, but i have against ALL seater. running on the pitch is part of the game which the establishment want rid of as another excuse to charge YOU more by making up silly rules to punish the fans. how many accidents have ou heard of where people have been hurt or injured whilst fans enter the pitch at the end???
I think we ought to be able to call all black people n*gger. After all, we've always done it, so it must be right.
Bottom line Beyond all other arguments - you cannot possibly disagree with this. Barnsley FC have been fined this season for failure to control the fans after they went on the pitch. They were warned by the FA that if it occurred again, possible sanctions would include more fines and a possible points deduction. Despite this, the very same group of individuals in the Ponty End constantly threaten to spill onto the field every time we score, and I'll bet you a small fortune that the same group will be the first on the field at the whistle today.
Some helpful advice on Bulletin Board... If you press 'post reply' when viewing the post you want to respond to (as opposed to the first post in the thread) it appears under the relevant post and makes it easier for others to understand.
Running on the pitch is not "part of the game", and just how is stopping people running on the pitch an excuse to charge people more?! Heres a thing though, before all seater stadia people had less opportunity to run on the pitch because many areas had fencing up between the fans and the pitch. No I didn't go on the pitch in '97, ok maybe a big part of that was because I was in the upper tier of East Stand and decided to stay there to enjoy the celebration, and a promotion celebration is an entirely different thing to just the end of the season cause we've always done it - for christs sake some people even celebrated by running on the pitch when we gor relegated in 2002! Theres nothing to stop you standing up and jumping up and down when a goal is scored - most people do it. And I get the banter with people sat around me.
its opinions being shared, how can you say who's winning? how many points have u got, am I being hammered 4-0? you try to be sarcastic but its just boring and not funny. i've got a different opinion to you, get over it.
yes but you compared football to cinema or theatre, saying we should behave the same when we're attending each of those types of entertainment. i'v been going to oakwell since the late 80's and the only fences were on the spion kop. fair enough to say cos we'v always done it is lame but i think when little things like this are put under the microscope it becomes daft. u know as well as i do and all the police and stewards that people will run on. they cant fine us for it cos every ground in the country will be doing it! I know running on the pitch wont singularly put prices up but its just part of the same cycle
RE: Why stop people running onto the pitch ??? We could get punished by the FA, fined or even worse deducted points.
Would you be saying it does no harm if the little pre-pubescent tw@ts cost us the points we needed to ensure our safety in this division?
Doubt it.

Am I in the minority here ??? Yer boring - the lot of yer Stopping kids having fun - health and safty gone berserk
RE: Why stop people running onto the pitch ??? I was told by a groundsman that people may carry diseases from other grass or vegetaion on their shoes onto the pitch and destroy it. Don`t know what the odds of that are, but could happen I suppose.
