There would be enough to go round anyway if it was a home draw but home or away I think the priority should be:

    1. ST + Burton and Chester
    2. ST + Burton or Chester
    3. ST
    4. Any home ticket stubs
    5. General sale.

And do we make provision for Colchester stubs?

I wouldn't worry about it. We would struggle to sell Oakwell out in the 3rd round no matter who we play. If it was a top 4 prem club it would probably a) be on TV; b) be £25 a ticket; c) not be on a Saturday; and d) the `top club` would play their reserve team.

The FA Cup is on it's arse no matter how much the BBC try to big it up

I sadly suspect you're right. Long gone are the days of being able to add several thousand to the average league gate for 3rd and 4th round matches. Remember some absolutely cracking nights at Oakwell even against lower division opposition in the past. It's hard to pinpoint when it started going downhill, probably around 2000. Now nobody seems that bothered until the 5th round. I still think that it's a good idea of Whitey's though.

Bang on, and all caused by the FA making Man Utd drop out of the competition to go to that daft world club tournament cos they thought it would get them the World Cup. Not been the same since then.

A loyalty points system needs to be brought in so tickets are distributed fairly and it's been needed years

It's on it's way. Points added to season card, when tickets are added through the online channel. All details stored in the database, through secure card transactions. Lovely

Ha ha ha they'll be up roar in that box office if they do that, don't matter how you buy your ticket you should be entitled to the same deals, smacks of discrimination otherwise, FA stopped all this members getting cheaper tickets Marlarky because home and away fans should pay the same price, and I think one email to the FA pointing out what the clubs doing with this online job and they'll take a long hard look at what the clubs doing

Same pricing as last round am sure Chester will go along with that, and another round of online ticketing, practice meks perfect.

If you go to a match pay on the day or by buying at the box office you should still get the same loyalty points as if you purchased online. That way it's fair to all who attend no matter which way they went around attending.

Folk can say the FA cup has lost its magic all they want but it hasn't for me.

That day at MK Dons a couple of years bank ranks as one of the best away days I've had. Big Marlon going crackers at the end will live long in the memory as will Disco, Odejayi & the rest of the lads knocking the Chelsea millionaires out & Howard's winner at Anfield a few years earlier.

The main reason anyone plays down the cup is so they can play the 'don't care' card when they get knocked out.

I remember Wigan fans on five live saying they would happily accept a cup win & relegation rather than mid table mediocrity & no cup run & I think most folk are the same

Only with you mate. There won't be anyone else there. Everyone will be at home ordering from their bed, and all box office staff will have been replaced with holograms

If you read it right it's not the Chester game people are on about we've got ahead of ourselves and took it as a given that were in the 3rd round and going to pull a big club at home

    Please keep up

People are just using some forward planning so IF we beat Chester and IF we get drawn away in the third round somewhere that the allocation is fair. If we did get drawn at like Arsenal or Man United you get something like 8k tickets so anyone who's been to both Burton/Chester games would easily get hold of a ticket even if they aren't a season ticket holder. The issue would be if we drew another non league team where allocation would be small.

It's a good idea what Whitey said but I don't see us doing it because it might look like we think we've already won the game by announcing such a thing.

Exactly. It was just an idea. But using a bit of forward planning/thinking. Sumat this club int known for. And it's nailed on that should we get past Chester AND draw a giant away from home there'll be wallies on here blaming the club because they can't get a ticket etc.
In an ideal world we'd charge 5 quid adults and kids/OAPs free for this round and then give Chester the gate reciepts. But football int ideal.
