RE: Let's play Dem Blades at home in 1999 when 'Inchy' heath was in charge

So your point is that Pancake have a bigger fan base. Surely the only things that really matter are that 1/..United are a prem club 2/.Wednesday are hugely in debt. 3/. Our average gate is 30,830 Pancake had 19,00 last night..4/. The Pancake club is in disaray Dave Allen is detested..5/. The Blades Academy and facilities are first class Pancake are selling their cabbage patch of a training ground to Tesco 6/..We've had 3 semi-finals and a play off final in the last 4 years.AND we always beat them on the pitch.

What use is a big fan base if they don't spend money on the club ?

    Your turn

sorry no offence meant I didn't realise you WERE a toilet cleaner. Had to get it out of my systern and feel flushed with success. You're probably more effluent than me however.

You've got to have a sense of humour in your profession I'd have thought. Ne'er mind they might give you a bog brush one day might save your finger nails.

On the football front you do seem something of a closet Wednesdayite. Surely you've not plumbed those depths !

early 90s Washday win league cup then finish 3rd in top flight then two cup finals in same year beating your mob in a semi. You were struggling and in 94(?) got relegated.</p>

My point ? What goes around comes around. You may be in the ascendancy at the moment but, and I hate to say this, it is likely that washday will be looking down on you at some date in the future. 1970's Utd div 1 Wed Div 3, 1980s Wed Div 1 Utd Div 4, You get the gist.</p>

United were in the 4th div for one season in 1980. We had a number of gates over 20,000 that season and in fact had 24,500 against Bratfud whilst Liverpool had 23,000 the same night for a European tie.

The two clubs have never been seperated by more than one division you may be surprised to hear. On the Blades v Pigs debate they have been marginally more successful, one league cup win not much is it, and we averaged 33,600 in 1973 the highest in Sheffield for 40 years.
Wednesday better pray that United go down this year otherwise they will be in big trouble as a club.

    Two things

    1. No wins for the Blunts this season
    2. Are you old enough to remember ever beating Barnsley? (Most Baldes fans aren't - twenty odd years ago I believe).

    RE: just remember

Blackburn missed a penalty before you got one so that would have changed the course of the game anyway. Or are we using the bizarre logic of they missed one and you missed 2 so it should have been 2-1?!

I'm suprised to hear that as utd were in div 4 in 81/82 and wednsday were in div 2 that year. That's 2 divisions where I come from.</p>
