Ignoring the fact that it's close to Blackpool ... Ribby Hall is really good if you fancy a swim/ sauna/ pamper type few days? You can choose from lodges (self catering), giving you access to the on site leisure facilities (which have a 25m adult only pool & spa area); or you can go the extra mile and try the new Ribby Hall Hotel, which has its own separate spa/ relaxation rooms / treatments etc. Might be a good treat for the Mrs??
Re: Great suggestions these, many thanks, its certainly got us thinking Drunken Duck pub restaurant hotel in the Lakes
Ribhy hall is good but expensive - recommend a weekend in Liverpool - plenty to do trough the days - some great eating places - shopping , sight seeing and some fantastic bars depending on what you fancy - trendy , oldy worldly ! Can recommend some places if you fancy it
interesting suggestions, although possibly a bit too shall we say extravagant for what we are looking for, but love the look of that balancing barn, one for the future
Me and the wife stopped at the Hilton in York when we got wed in July 2011. Absolutely love the place
