Ideas to improve the FA Cup

    I've said this for years, and I'd even extend it to the League cup(or give any team in European competition the option of missing that season's league cup).

    Top 2 in the league qualify, then the cup winners. Watch how quick the big teams play full-strength sides and the attendance numbers shoot up.

    It won't happen, because money talks and the league has a lot less of the "x" factor, meaning shocks happen less(and even if they do, it doesn't mean the end of the line for them)...

    All FA cup pitches should be covered with 5cm of snow before the games, except for the 6 yard boxes which should be a quagmire 10 cm deep. The ball should be orange, and should have a special coating which makes snow stick to it. The lines should be painted yellow. Both goalkeepers should wear track suit bottoms, and all outfield players should wear woolly gloves.
