RE: For God's sake you thicko Same reason why I never get a ticket for Wimbledon on men's final day. I just don't get up early enough.
RE: For God's sake you thicko I can't understand why Jay is having so much trouble understanding it Dirk. If folk had gone and started queuing on Sunday night everyone would have got a ticket and they'd be no problems now at all.
By everyone he's meaning The few who should have known better on this board - not all 6,000 ST holders!
RE: For God's sake you thicko Agreed, if they couldn't be bothered to give up a night's rest then they got everything they deserved. And more fool anyone with a sense of responsiblity who didn't throw a sickie from work to join the queuing fun too.
I'm sure there must be a simple equation for this That basically says that the earlier we all get up then the more tickets there are available.
RE: By everyone he's meaning The problem isn't in what time people got there. It's a bigger problem than that.

next time, can the fans with their fingers on the pulse tell the rest of us... when would be a good time to start queuing and we'll be there half an hour before them
It's got nothing to do with the time you got there It was all because of the length of the queues. Now if people had stood closer together . . .
RE: By everyone he's meaning We know it's a bigger problem than that. But there was nothing I could do as an individual to change the ticketing policy for that particular game. What I could do as an individual to increase my chances of getting a ticket was get down there at the crack of dawn. I would have expected the few hundred who come on here and have their fingers on the pulse more than the average fan, to think the same way as well. Those who got themselves nearer the front of the queue than the back got a ticket.
Would wearing the right kind of clothing helped? I was towards the end of the queue and didn't get any, but I saw that some of the people at the start of the queue who did get tickets were wearing bobble hats, puffa jackets and moon boots? I think I will prepare better next time. Actually, I'm gonna turn up (early) on the 11th with my stub from the Colchester game, surely there'll be some tickets available by then.
I didn'get a ticket I didn't go and to quote catherine tate 'am I bothered!' It's just another cup game it aint champions league nor is it a final ! Ok we don't get to play at anfield every week but just can't see what allthe fuss is about.
I tell you what I'll carry on getting tickets my way and you go about things your own way. Your way is obviously better.
RE: It's got nothing to do with the time you got there Perhaps a 3 legged queue next time, shorten the length by a half.
