    we are reliant upon our benefactor to balance the books. we've listed some players, but the reality is the figures still dont add up, there's a wage cap based on turnover which makes self sufficiency on crowds of 9,000 very difficult. even harder to compete on terms, the Cup windfall will help but suspect that a decision has been made to push the boat even further out cos it was blatant that the departure of the loanees left such a big hole.

    Yorkshire post today says Everton have snubbed an offer for de silva and the player is likely to keep his options open till his contract finishes at the end of the season.(inside back page 18 pre match review.)
