and what tactics did Davey resort to tonight then? Not new ones that's for sure!

You really areclueless, stick to coaching young uns cos you're way out of your depth.

    RE: Do you think...

    fair comment...

I am a big fan of the kind of football AR played... but he isn't a saint. I feel he was very badly treated by the board and the conducting of the 'contract discusions' in open forum was appaling ON BOTH SIDES.

The thing I've got with Davey is that he was on a hiding to nothing when he came in, he didn't get a honeymoon period he got a divorce period as he replaced a popular manager.

He hasn't helped himself some of the performances have been woefull.... but if we stay up this season he will have done extremely well.

He hasn't got charisma, but neither has Steve Coppell.

    Hehe

So it was someone elses tactics SD adopted eh?

    4-5-1 or 4-3-3

Whose tactics were those then Einstien?

Maybe the manager looked up the opposition and selected his best option?

    Lets be honest

AR had the charisma and communication skills of a plank. Only Paul Hart was worse.

great post.... no I'm not being patronising honest !!!:D

The one thing I disagree with you on is the effect of the contract negotiations on AR and RH.

If he keeps us up he will deserve the highest accolades

It will be a very tough job well done.

But let’s not start smoking each other off just yet. The excellent victory tonight has not kept us up just like the defeat last Saturday did not send us down.

Rick Holden is a great character

and I can only conclude that the club is somewhat diminished for his departure.

AR & RH though were overstretched as a management / coaching / fitness team.

You state Richtea never tried to sign anyone yet he continually remarked prior to his sacking and at the start of the season he was constantly trying to sign people.

If he makes us into a functional Championship outfit, with a reliable Championship future...

We have to back him all the way. I hope he does it.
