No because I'd like to see Bree playing there, and if we do bring in a right back I'd like some one with more experience, but give him 18 months training and playing against premier league standard youth players a centre half and I'd take him back as a central defender, I've watched him come through the under 18s and always rated him as a class above ether at centre half or defensive midfield and I think he'll make a good un in them positions but he's not quite ready yet, I'm really gutted and pissed off that I'm not going to see him develop in his best position at BFC but I'd never use that against him if we needed him I'd take him back in a shot but I don't think we need him at this stage in his development when we have Bree in the position he'd be playing in at the time being
If it was a realistic option then yes, obviously. We know he's more than up to scratch at this level and will only be better for an extra year under his belt. Anyone saying "no" is considering an ideal of loyalty which doesn't exist in modern football and to be honest why should it? I certainly can't begrudge an 18 year old who probably has few academic qualifications from trying to secure the best deal he can for the next few years. Yes Stonesy might have gone about it with more class but I'm not going to condemn Holgate because honestly, in his position I might do the same.
