As much as I'm behind the club at the moment, it is hard to disagree with this. For my mind we can write performance based contracts for new signings, giving us an extension option at a higher wage & surely we can stock team shirts at the club & keep customers served in a better way. We are on a high this season, but it's hard to see how we are going to sustain it without being better run. In November we had no home team shirts & we had run out of L's to put on the back of shirts. Neither situation was rectified when I visited the club shop at the Leeds match. If I was running the club shop the manager would be out of a job on the spot. FFS this is our club. Will support it. Will understand certain stuff, like we carn't compete on wages, etc. Incompetence NO.

They are running down. Are the club allowing it to happen? I seriously doubt that. It's more likely to be the players wanting to see what's on offer before they commit to anything. Hence the reason why we've sold players for less than what they're worth, because they'd be worth nothing in the summer unless they sign a new contract. The contract extension of Adam Davies to me shows that they're doing something.

The club shop manager is not to blame.

    Someone controls what gets spent.

IMO the club is being run at the moment more like a hobby than a properly run business.

Patrick has said the club is in a better shape now than when he took over - of course it is and we will be forever in his debt for that.
However he achieved that after his first year in charge - since then there has been no progress.
    That's about 9 years ago.
    A long time treading water.

We have a manager now that could do great things at the club given a chance.
    He needs backing.

Tyrone - you tried to correct your mistake and you still got it wrong but never mind,

Let's try and have a proper discussion - what do you think to the fact that we lost a £1m last season, the fact that half the West Stand is condemned, the ground is looking more than a bit shabby, the commercial progress of the club cannot be charted, we have allowed players to leave for far less than their true value and we will have about six first team players in contract come June.

What are your comments on that?

You are free to disagree (as is anyone else) but I want a better response than "put.your.money.in".

Probably not, but the point is there is clearly no concept of stock control / customer service & whoever is responsible should be taking a long walk off a short plank. There must be some lines of reporting at the club. I appreciate without a CEO & with Patrick ill people are having to cover roles, but to be fair these issues have been around for as long as I remember.

I'm not trying to be negative.

I'm delighted at what has been achieved & I'm very grateful for everything Patrick has done for our club.
It's just clear that on a commercial / customer service level improvements need to be made, as do
the negotiating of contracts when we sign new players, giving the club options to extend good performers deals , meaning if they do move on at least we get a fair amount of coin in return.

If these things aren't grappled we'll end up back in L1 sooner rather than later, which would be a massive shame, after our great achievements in the last 12 months.

Have the issues been around since Patrick took over by any chance?

They've been around a while certainly.

I don't think it's about apportioning blame though, but having a plan to address the issues.
Certainly the remit of new CEO should be to look at these & quickly, so that summer signings & next season's commercial
activities don't follow the same path.

In terms of the football Club don't own it. I don't expect. Any of my tenants to pay for the maintenance. Of my property. Why should the football club pay for the councils. There's a couple of house up Harold ave Nedd fronts doors paid for, should Patrick. Cryne pay for that as well?

You've got no experience then of commercial renting have you? A lot of commercial lets include clauses for maintain and improve and lay the responsibility for these at the door of the renter, usually in exchange for lower monthly rentals.

And let's be absolutely straight here. Pat Cryne AND the council own the ground in a 50% share. To lay blame on the council alone is misleading. At best.

It is being a suggested that the club pay for improvements, even as low as a lick of paint. Not Patrick out of his personal funds.

If we are saying that the football club cannot afford this despite record income levels then the ground will fall into disrepair over time.

Cryne owns half the ground. Who do you think should pay? No comments on the other stuff?

You can't even spell "despair". You are incapable of having any form of conversation.

I have wasted my time trying to have a debate with you but it is pointless. A complete and utter waste of time. I'd get more sense out of someone with dementia. Do not reply to me again.
