    Did you enjoy Wembley?

kept us up 3 times. All be a distant memory if we appoint a League 2 manager. I'll bore you to death if we do, Davey out after every defeat, get ready.

    Actually Wembley was ****

same ineptitude as in many other Simon Davey inspired matches.

Enjoyed Chelsea match tho`, that may have actually been the last match I enjoyed under his leadership.
    I agree about 2nd division managers tho`.

The Premiership wasn't all that great either

pasting after pasting, but over time, we reminisce, we embellish, imagine going down after sacking the guy who'd kept us up 3 times? Oh, you can get ready owe **** if we appoint an unproven league 2 nubdi like Mark Robins.

Just imagine sacking the manager that had just gained you promotion from League 1

then wondering why other people thought being manager of Barnsley was a poison chalice (dunno) (dunno)

    Absolutely

every chance that we could make the most of a ours being the only job going in the top 2 Divisions. Its not even a f.kcing debate, why are we even mentioning Mark Robins in the same breath? Cos we've a track record of taking the cheap option? Well I challenge Patrick to be true to his word about wanting Barnsley to move up the pecking order in the Championship - appoint a manager with the minerals to do it. If it means selling the likes of JCR, get it done. A quality manager is worth his weight in SKY money.

Speaking for myself, I thought the Premiership season was fantastic

Also, you frequently told fans who wouldn't back Davey that they should stay away from Oakwell, yet you appear to be adopting exactly that anti Davey attitude with Mark Robins.
Surely, if you're consistent with your argument, you'll give Robins (were he to be appointed) exactly the same backing you gave Davey?

    Back the manager in charge

but dont appoint a **** one. Is there anything inconsistent with that? If we appoint Robins, Im saying right now that it is terrible decision and one that I would never ever agree with, having already paid for my season ticket back in May, I feel I have every right to voice my concern, and having been an advocate of sticking with Davey cos he's got a track record, Id be inconsistent if I wasnt critical of appointing someone with no track record in the Championship.

I've nothing against Mark Robbins but he's not an experienced

successful championship manager and if that's the limit of your ambitions that's up to you.

Fair enough, I misinterpreted your response to SM's post about Robins, sorry.

but who would you want ? Also would you consider Robins to be a better choice than Davey ?

You gave Simon Davey a chance to prove himself

When he had no managerial experience whatsoever (never mind in the Championship), so I find it difficult to understand why you won't do the same with Robins. Also, I don't know what Robins has done to warrant being labelled a **** manager. There's a huge difference between Division 2 and the Championship, but the reason Rotherham are there cannot be laid at Robins' door. They just happen to be the club that have given him his first manager's position, just like Barnsley did with Davey. How much of that is down to luck, being in the right place at the right time? You have every right to be critical of his appointment, were it to take place, and you are just as entitled to voice your opinion without being subjected to personal abuse as anyone else. But that right and entitlement is also available to every person would didn't rate Simon Davey, too, without calls for them to stay away from Oakwell simply for not liking the manager.
I would prefer an experienced Championship manager (Jewell would be my choice), but if he isn't Mr Cryne's selection so be it.

and having been an advocate of sticking with Davey cos he's got a track record.Davey had no track record in the Championship when we appointed him and had a fecking dire one ever since. You say you paid for your season ticket and have a right to voice your concern, but if any oyther fecker voices their concern and its something you dont agfree with you just launch into a verbal assault .IS THERE ANYTHING INCONSISTANT IN THAT??

    No problem.

I want Boothroyd but I'd take Robins over Davey. Davey had a more than fair crack at it and didn't take the club any further. Might be worth seeing what Robins can do but he wouldn't be in my top three tbh.

I simply stated that he won all the relegation battles

I said nothing else. He did didn't he? Or have I got that wrong?
