I hope though that we're not just hoping that honesty, and bringing it to their attention in the first place... will get us off with this!.
Anything could still happen here, and fingers crossed, that we've got some good lawyers arguing our case!. o_O

We're run by Americans, they're not the least litigious folk in the world, I'd expect they know a few good lawyers.

We’ll sign players but we won’t sign players good enough for a top half finish. We’ve lost some very good players this pre season. Jesse Debnah replacing Mads Andersen, Andy Dallas replacing Max Watters and Harry Lewis replacing Isted / Collins are not improvements. I may be proved wrong and I hope I am as I follow the Reds home and away but can’t see anything other than League 1 mediocrity this coming season. I don’t expect some of these replaced in technical ability but we didn’t go up with the best centre half in the league. I don’t get why people think we’ll challenge with a non league defender. Stick with Robbie Cundy.

We need players who are under the radar but going to be good enough. Luca Connell, Adam Phillips, Nicky Cadden and Harry Isted all worked a treat. Phi But non league players are a different ball game. For every Jamie Vardy, there’s a Mike Phoenix of course but Vardy went through tough times at Leicester before being the class act he was. I’m not sure I have the patience watching Andy Dallas scoring one chance every ten for two seasons before getting a move.

As much as people think we’re shopping in the same window as last summer, it doesn’t feel we are.

Mads is the big loss, Thomas was absolutely dogger at Bristol, remember posting their comments on here. He did a lot better for us but we could easily find similar in the loan market. The keepers a mystery, don't have much of an opinion on the lad we have signed l haven't seen him play, hopefully another keeper signing along with a couple more additions and we'll have a similar squad - with another years experience.

We'll finish nowhere near mid table.

Think our 1 to 11 will be decent for this level but if we want a good enough squad to last the course of the season then I’m worried about the market we’re looking in .

Marc Roberts from non-league Halifax Town
Ethan Pinnock from non-league Forest Green Rovers
Angus Macdonald from non-league Torquay United.

The spreadsheet seems to work when finding non-league defenders. Have a bit of faith in some of these lads, we're in league1, a very **** league 1.

    I respectfully disagree with you.

The club's scouting system is clearly very effective. Signing a boatload of players from non-league would indeed be worrying, but targeting the division's outstanding players in their positions is a completely different kettle of fish. Firstly, the gap between the National League and League 2 is very small these days. That's clearly shown by how few clubs now bounce back at the first attempt after relegation, and how many of them in fact struggle. Scunthorpe just went straight through, and Oldham spent most of the season in the bottom half.

Over the years we have signed plenty of players from non-league. Some of them did very little, but others shone at a level far higher than League 1. Martin Bullock, Darren Sheridan, Marc Roberts.

Next, we're not just being linked with non-league players. And it's hardly been unknown in the past for us to have signed "name" players for big fees who have flattered to deceive. I don't see that our transfer strategy has particularly changed this close season. Better to wait for the right deals than sign a load of players as quickly as possible to keep the fans happy, but they then turn out to be no better than what we already have.

How do you know the players we sign won't be good enough for a top half finish when we don't know who we.re signing yet.

I keep seeing "we're run by americans" but 1 of the board members is american and she and her husband own < 10% of the club

True! Forgot about that. So in reality we're "run by americans" with no Americans on the board.

And hey that is the big secret Khaledo news lol, the Burnsley 'taaarn' Belters are creating a RL team. We're going to merge with Feth Rovers and Normy Knights to begin with, and some regular posters on here are going to be star players!!. :D
