    The West Stand needs renovating or at least slightly modernising.

    But it should still resemble the old West Stand that we all love.

    I definitely think that a sympathetic renovation is the way to go. It could be a good candidate for safe standing if that ever comes in.

    Personally, providing it's not a fire hazard a la Bradford, I'd be for keeping it. Fond memories of some of my first games viewed from there and wistful, romantic images (and smells) of the notorious bogs. The super-heated Bovril and those seat cusions, surely the forerunner of the Frisbee.
    No, I'd rather keep it. Anyway, is it not a listed building yet?

    It's too low, spoils the atmosphere in the rest of the ground. Encasing the stadium with a higher stand and sorting the corners would improve it.

    All interesting thoughts. Personally, if the West Stand is replaced, I'd prefer a smaller image of the East Stand opposite.

    No need for any more boxes, just a simple 2-tier stand. If we need future expansion, wrap it around the corner to join the Ponty.

    I'd rather see a small stand looking full, than a big stand looking empty.

    we should at least be making it fit for purpose, if it's not being rebuilt any time soon. sort the north side out, new roof, lick o paint all round and get shut of that broken glass ffs!

    Whatever is behind the West stand doesn't matter really - what does matter is that the land narrows at the Ponti End side of the stand .
    So if a new stand is to sweep around from the Ponti then that area is too narrow as it is now.

    At the narrow point it is as wide as the east stand as I've said a few times. When I asked what was behind the west stand it was out of curiosity
