I wouldn't mind that. At least we'd both be in Monday's draw.

Man Utd in the 3rd round please.

The way modern football is, and the way we go through managers, I'd not be surprised to see him sacked by Monday lunchtime if Chester beat us.

It'd be a disgraceful injustice, though.

If we can't, as a fanbase, give time, patience and support to the most successful manager we've ever had, nobody else has got a prayer and we might as well lock the gates.

still too premature for me. but it wouldn't do him any favours. would depend on the manner of said hypothetical defeat as well, i guess..

It would be madness to sack Wilson at any time this season unless already relegated.

If it can be seen at the season's end that there has been sufficient progress then he should continue.

So far I do not believe there has been sufficient progress.

There is still plenty of time.

He won't be sacked, and he shouldn't be.

If this poor form doesn't turn out to just be inconsistency though, and we're in and around the bottom 5/6 come mid-February when the table starts to take its final shape, then I wouldn't be surprised to see him go. I don't want him to be sacked, I want him to have the time he needs to build a team capable of challenging for promotion, but I fear some and indeed possibly Patrick/Ben won't see it that way.
