I wasn't referring to Davey specifically... more the culture of 'hire 'em and fire 'em' that pervades the game. Oh on the maths side, compo & new manger & new squad = mucho reddies ..... 'ave that !!

£1.3m his main investment on a striker that played until early November ? Also we didn't sign Kevin Phillips so how does that have any relevance to our league position this season ?

RE: Why does there? He was a Muller punch/catch and five minutes (+4 mins inj time) away from beating Brum.
And say we do get Paul ince, when he has not won his first six games 4 Nil and not spent £3m in the transfer market will he get rounded booed etc?
RE: £1.3m his main investment on a striker that played Because it demonstrates the level of Cryne's ambition - 21st position was not part of the plan We lost out on Philips but Davey must have been happy to settle on what he had - wonder how much we are paying towards Rigters wages? We would still be in this situation whether Hume had been injured or not - he's a good player but we were still doing **** before he was assaulted
Of course he would and rightly so... ... because that's the way football works at the moment... bag'o' ballacks if you ask me.
Who's demanding that then? The people who are unhappy with Davey only want to see a bit of progression If we had a season like Sheffield Wednesday (a club with more debt and smaller budget) I would be very happy with that
RE: £1.3m his main investment on a striker that played I heard (from a usually informed source) that we are paying nowt towards Rigters wages. And you can't say we would be in the same position if Hume hadn't been injured. Who knows, I believe he would have got about 8 or so goals now. Surely that would have picked us up points at a time when the strikers weren't scoring, but like I say nobody knows. Our form at the beginning of the season has no bearing on anything that has happened susequently.
RE: £1.3m his main investment on a striker that played Maybe Davey was happy with the acquisition of Hume as his main striker, didn't seem like a bad judgement to me. Agree 100% about Righters. Maybe Davey had to get what he could after the Phillips deal fell through.
As for whether we'd be in the same situatiion if Hume had not been injured we had a shocking start to the season but in the six games prior to his injury we won 4 drew 1 and lost 1, so your assertion that we were 'doing ****' seems a little flawed. The injury to Hume could have been a turning point in the season.... or not, we just don't know. I do think it did put a hole in SD's attacking armoury though.
Finallyif Mr Cryne is an ambitious person... which I tend to agree, why would he keep a manager who didn't match those ambitions? Maybe he believes that give him enough time and supporthim financially hemay be successful ?
Just a thought

just going on the current standing of support. Talking of sheffield Wednesday. Barnsley fans are sounding like they did 4 years ago.
