    You must be too young to have proposed him. He was a despot in the boardroom, and many supposers felt he ran the club as his own feifdom. Remember the maximum wage applied at the time and barnsley gates were higher that they were today, yet the club were in debt continually to the tune of £45K (£1 million plus in these days). We were a selling club, but for whose benefit, certainly not the paying punter.
