I must say I'm most impressed with the polycarbonate roofs we now have on the WSB's - funded by the 2008 cup run!

Clever;-) seriously tho we've done WSB and want and need constructive (and other shitty) critism without which we can't get better!

We can only sell it with a buy in and interest. I know the club are trying to do the same but IMO it seems 'a little bit cheap'?!?

Can't please everyone! We all know that.......

I agree. I remember one vote a few years back. That's not mi point really. Ive ready said I appreciate the clubs efforts in engaging the fans . It's to be applauded.

I do also think the current offerings are ****! I'm not the only one.

I'm also a fan of history and educating of our past and revisiting the old rather than trying to create a new USA type new! It's everything I hate. Again just me.

If I was Man U. I'd be FC United by now. Again just me.

The new badges do kind of have a kind of American sports franchise look about them yeah. Would be interested to know if these are the work of some design agency or something knocked up in house.

I've said it plenty of times, my favourite badge was the plain 'BFC' lettering. Old skool. But after that, the Oakwell badge. So I agree.

But option B with a bit of tweaking would be much better than the current town emblem.

I support the concept of the brand refresh. I just don't like any of the badges. At all. And it will be incredibly tough to reverse the decision, if/once something is voted for. I personally don't want the future of BFC to be represented by any of those crests. This is much bigger than a badge on a tshirt. It will represent the brand proposition for our entire Football Club, for many years to come.

Anyone who thinks it's just about a new shirt emblem, is way off the mark.

Sorry. I can't support any of them.

I'm lucky that she loves football, I know that much. And that she cooks a mean bacon, egg and tomato sarnie. :D

I do not think that I am a cynical person, but I looked at the options and saw how poor they all were. Then I looked further down and saw that you had to give some personal details (name, email address etc), supposedly to ensure an individual does not vote twice and I thought, this is a non too subtle way of collecting marketing information to enable the club to contact individuals for other purposes in the future.

My prediction is that the club will keep it existing badge and at the end of the exercise they will have a list of contact details of supporters that has cost practically nothing to collect.

Cynical but 100% accurate in terms of information gathering.

Watch how many e-mails you now get from BFC......it will increase.

By the way, I tested it and voted twice!

To be honest, if the club are using this as a way to capture peoples details it's the most positive thing that will come out of this.

The only thing I currently get is the rehashed digest of what's already on the BFC site on a Friday that's usually 3-5 days out of date already. One of the poorest aspects of the last decade has been how poorly BFC have marketed and segmented communications. If you have a segmented database you can target different groups and try and encourage bums on seats with offers, bundles, deals and promotions.

We don't do that when most other clubs do, just because they have a database and treat it with care.

The "brand refresh" though is pretty appalling. Good they are trying to canvas opinion on something that's highly subjective and will always be difficult, but the options they've put forward are pretty awful.

I've worked with many businesses going through rebrands and been involved with the process at my own company. Agencies tend to put forward purposefully poor options to be rejected to give additional weight to their favourite (the less efforts they have the cheaper it is and less scope creep).

I also think an option to say none of the above should have been included. The way the vote is set can skew the results. By the existing ID looks vindicated and popular, or one of the "new" versions is chosen by default.

Personally I liked the Toby Tyke ID. The dig in the middle I could give or take. The reason I liked it was the high contrast. Black red and white.

I thought it worked well because it always stood out more than our opposition on graphics, print and so on.

If they are going to spend silly figures with a brand agency, at least dare to be different.

None of the new identities say underdog, say passion, say beating adversity. None say we'll never be downtrodden. None say we'll never give in. None say galvanised, none say community.

In fact the worse thing I can say is they don't really say anything, don't follow a particular good colour palette and involves too much gold which doesn't have a large use in most kits.

The other thing i'm curious about is the timing... new months before a new season. Why now? Kit sales have been made so we'll either have to wait til next season to see it represented, or, we'll have to change kits, merchandise, print set ups, website etc mid season which doesn't seem particularly well though out.

I'm not against utilising marketing and trying to create a "brand" as such. I just think we've got it wrong.

By the way, just check out the terms and conditions at the end of the voting form, particularly the final one.

What's wrong with that? Look like very standard T&C's to me
