But that's the way it works. The poorest pay the highest

prices. Loan repayments, credit card interest, the more money you have the cheaper these things are.

    No medical research

without universities? Reighto. Speaking of wanking, your average residential student spends 4.5 hours of the day witcockart, in between epsiodes of Hollyoaks. FACT.

    Yep

all those students paying off their taxpayer-funded education for the rest of their lives.

Fortunately society will function perfectly well without all the teachers, doctors, nurses, accountants, bank managers, engineers, architects, scientists, IT workers, lawyers, judges and other pointless jobs that were created just so universities could piss away taxpayers' money. Oh hang on...

How exactly do you become a doctor without having had further education?

Hollyoaks is better **** fodder than a Princess Di commemorative plate collection (at least until Dragons Den give me the cash for that 'specialist' range I designed). FACT.

    Further education, yes

based around a University campus, no. The internet can lend itself to more than just porn and gambling. How much actual 'learning' goes on in your average common room? Other than how to break the back of summat without having to pop a pill in her drink.

Not really, I was talking about the ******** relating to 'positive discrimination' that journalists churn out. I believe it exists, I don't believe a lot of what I read about it.

So the internet is a better resource for the training of medical professionals than practical experience gained while studying at an academic institution. Because students who go to universities that have common rooms (posh ones) can talk about nailing lasses.

You could say the same about reports of racism and discrimination...

You could, but there's a lot more ***** written about 'positive discrimination' and 'political correctness'.

    By volume, obviously...

    Hi Jay

I work for one of the energy giants and to be honest although your critisism does sound quite valid to the general public there are reasons why pre payment meters are more expensive.

Reason 1 is that these customers cost the company they are with more to service. They are a more expensive payment scheme and the company I work for would rather do away with them all together.

Now the other point is that some pre payment meters are installed due to the customers refusal to pay debt or bills to a supplier. It would be obsurd for any company to just let a customer go further into debt without using the only thing at their disposal. Some of these customers owe thousands of pounds and make no effort to pay. Seems quite reasonable to me. As an aside no customer who is classed as one of the many millions in fuel poverty are made to have pre pay meters fitted.

Do you have a mobile phone? How do you feel about pay as you go phones against contract phones?

A pre pay meter is exactly the same as a pay as you go phone. You are charged a small amount on top of the standard rates but have the benefit that you cannot use more than you have paid for.
