Not disagreeing with anything you put, but made me think who was the last keeper we had who did command his box?
It seems to be a dying commodity in keepers generally.

I would rather we lost the ball at the halfway line rather than on the edge of our own box, so long goal kicks are fine by me. It gives us a chance to win it back higher up the field.

Agreed. Think Collins could come good but he was at fault today, particularly on the last goal. Radlinger appears at least slightly more competent at coming for crosses.

I noticed the change in tactics too, but I'm struggling to believe that Brad Collins did it unilaterally against the manager's wishes. As others have said, if we try to knock it about it's inevitable that we're going to lose it eventually, and it's preferable to lose it in their half rather than in our box.

Surely it's about mixing things up. A team that sticks doggedly to one method of goal kick is making life easier for the opposition. Doesn't matter if it's long or short, just dont become predictable.

And just because you intend to play it short, that doesn't mean you have to give the game away by standing in the flaming box every time.

Collins is our cup keeper so even if he followed instructions Struber would still be putting his mate back in goal for Charlton.

Get Walton back in. Radlinger at centre back with Sollbauer, Collins up front with Woodrow. 4-4-2, Browny on the wing, Chaplin on the other wing. What could possibly go wrong?

Collins knows the defence aren’t capable of playing from the back. Saw it all. And applauded him myself. Get thiam and cavare all back in the squad IMO no worse than these at the moment. Least them two have got some sh1thousery about them

Agree with this, I'm not at all happy with how we are playing it out from the back but if we kick it long then it is also going to come straight back. Basically whatever we do I think we're ******.
The big mistake was not adequately replacing Moore with a big target man. Struber's plan / tactics have now been rumbled, hopefully we can bring someone in this week, the board need to back Struber and then he needs to show he's got an alternative plan when things aren't working.
