He's looking now whilst grumbling. He's found a phone cable, a fibre optic that's plugged into the Tivo box and another cable that has two fibre optics on the end of it (that we have no idea what they are for) but no aerial.
I used to have Virgin telly and I liked their 'box', when it became much easier to tape programs and fast forward and rewind live tv (and yes, I still call it taping even now lol, when it comes to recording something). Id never seen anything like it before at first, but the novelty quickly wore off and it never got cheaper of course. But I did find that their customer service was always top notch if ever I wanted to report or ask about a fault etc. And whenever I suggested I wanted to leave, they would quite often offer me another brief 1 or 2 month deal to keep me on as a customer, so I took advantage of that for as long as I could lol.
When it comes to tvs not working I have the ability to annoy everyone from millionaire football club owners to librarians husbands who I've never met. It's a skill I have. Without an aerial your best bet is either watching the uktv channels on demand which is free on the uktv website or if you want to watch them live using a site like TV player and streaming it to the tv
Haha, of course I'm having a discussion about TVs with you! I'm really not that bothered about doing either of those things thanks though. Perhaps if our new house has an aerial it can be a moving treat.
Is there summat going on here between you two... Jambo, have you got some ultra secret info on SuperTyke, which hes obviously keen to keep hush hush ?.
They're offering Sky Sports for £22 a month for 12 months with no ongoing contract. Oxford at home on Saturday is £25. Hmm!
You have to ask to get put through to cancellations, when out through insist on leaving, which they will action, but within a week they will ring you from the disconnection team and then you can negotiate almost at what want.
Virgin announce that they have resolved their differences with UKTV over fees and are set to re-instate lost Channels like Gold and Dave to all customers. I personally think their hand has been somewhat forced, due to customers like myself and many others, threatening to defect. Well done everyone a definite victory for people power.!!!
I think uktv and the bbc have backed down more and agreed to hand over a lot more on demand programming which virgin was asking for
Just been looking at a Press release. UKTV/BBC saying there was no way they could accept the drastic price cut that Virgin were proposing. Sounds as though some middle ground has thankfully been found. Some Channels have been restored with immediate effect, with more to follow next week. A great result all round.
I'm hoping they keep Premier Sports & Free Sports channels as I like ice hockey and Free Sports have just announced a deal with the UK elite league to show match highlights and Premier Sports usually show the NHL games.
