One of those he shot was grabbing the gun whilst screaming at him and had previously been heard saying he was going to get one of them on his own. The other was attacking him with a skateboard. Is it murder or self defense at that point?

Probably worth reading up on the case mate post trial. Reported very differently since the trial than before.

This will rumble on for months and can see certain media outlets being taken to court for the role they played.

This guy went with every intention of using the gun he actually told people that, and that he was going there to help the police but this was never brought up in court the Judge was on his side from day one . NOT GUILTY MY ARSE. A travesty of justice to the people he SHOT.

Strangely enough tanks are legal on the road, there is a guy near Staincross with several.

I know in the modern world, that everything has to boil down to being the fault of Trump, Brexit, Climate Change, or COVID-19, but I wanted to correct one (of many) bits of misinformation on here. The Judge is the longest serving judge on the WI bench, and was appointed long before Trump ever came onto the political scene.

The attitude towards and law on gun ownership is the main reason I d never want to visit America.

The kid is almost certainly a bit of a ***** and a wrong un, but each use of the gun was self-defence.

If I say that I'd love to punch someone and knock them out that doesn't mean I'm automatically guilty of assault if I smack someone who tries to smack me.

The issue is the gun laws. Over there him walking down the street with an AR-15 is regarded as no different to me walking my dog. Now this is clearly mental, but in the context of the laws being what they are he was never going to be found guilty.

I think you need to start backing up some of your claims with links to these facts. Not saying they’re not true but I’ve not even seen them reported by CNN - so naturally I’m dubious.

The judge, as far as I could see, was on the side of the law. It’s the law that blows our minds over here.

Strutting down the road toting an automatic assault rifle and shooting 3 people, 2 of whom died, makes him guilty in my mind.

At this point it doesn’t even sound like you’re talking about the same incident.

Thing is, I.M.O. This person was armed & as far as I'm concerned, he found what he was looking for & carried out his objective. I have not followed this ******, coz that is what it is.

Tell you whats weird. People jumping through hoops to defend this weirdo.

Imagine carrying this weapon into battle, then claiming self defence. America is a horrible place. And its sympathisers are weird, weird people.

    Not seen anyone defend him?

Disagree America is a horrible place. Plenty of good and bad points like every country.

I respectfully disagree. If a person can arm himself like this clown can, and essentially ride into battle - then it's a place I would not like to reside in.

But opinions are like arseholes, everybody has them - so don't listen to a word I say mate.

When you watch the videos you can see he only fired when he was being attacked. This entire situation was a terrible mess, an avoidable tragedy.
My interpretation of American law is that it does not seem to require any proof that lethal force was the only option available. Happy to be corrected if I've got that wrong.
I don't know what his motives were for being there that night, as I said earlier I assume not good, just like the majority who were there.
He's not guilty because under US law he was allowed to have the weapon and once he was attacked he had the right to defend himself and did.
Now him having the gun may well have provoked the attack but legally speaking that's not relevant as it was found he was legally allowed to do so.

Wonder how Deputy Dawg's there are running around the US now realising. A kid with no uniform can get off with this, imagine how much I can get away with in a uniform.
Next dodgy Intel raid on a crack den could escalate, maybe RPGs will be used. No point running if you can cook the people inside and consequences. Cop just says there were rumours they had nasty ****, they wouldn't open the door, I felt scared so blew them up.
Bringing Baghdad to the Bronx!!!! God bless America!!!

In 2011 Steven Seagal (as a Sheriff's deputy) used a tank to crash through the gates of someone suspected of cockfighting. Seagal said animal cruelty was one of his pet peeves - the raid led to 100 chickens being euthanised and the suspect's dog was shot during the raid.

    The place is batshit mental.

You for one. But you are a defender of the Republican party and there's nowt wrong with that. I find them racist and bonkers.
One other thing have you seen what that Republican called Cawthorne as said about this murder because in my mind and many others that's what it was he say's it was a great result and would advise people use guns where necessary, another Trump-supporting teacake.
