Nice one - which basically means the UK don't take any as they'd have to pass through another country to get here….whilst those that border the countries they come from end up taking them all…..a fine move!

They could try tightening their own borders up instead of shirking the responsibility and providing a channel to the UK.

but you aren't proposing that we stop putting them forward in the Spring…..I see a slight problem here!

So you propose making asylum seekers unable to flee a country then?

No, fleeing their original country - you seem to believe that the neighbouring countries should take them all whilst because they have to get through another to get to us by virtue of our location means we don't have to take any.

    Not at all.

I propose stopping the crossing of borders illegally.

We have systems in place to answer the cases of asylum seekers and we do our share.

We're talking about ILLEGAL economic refugees.

If we wanted them to do it it wouldn't be illegal would it? It's essential that we're able to control our borders.

    Problem is.......

......just calling yourself an asylum seeker doesn't make it so. A bona fide asylum seeker doesn't have to sneak in illegally.

Anyone caught doing so should be turned straight around. I'd come down hard on France and make them take some responsibility. As it is they can't be arsed to watch their own borders and they're taking the piss.

    On the subject of immigration...........

Remove all world borders and have complete freedom of movement with people just being citizens of the world.

    Here we go.

I was responding to comments on "asylum seekers." There's a right and a wrong way.

You know that and so have brought a reasonable conversation down to niggling pedantry once more. So **** off.

Ah so it's pedantry to try not to confuse asylum seeking with illegal immigration?!

RE: Let me have a go.

So you wouldnt allow people from other countries to come here if they were fleeing from starvation of war?
