    Is it treason?

To say that you have no loyalty to the Queen?

I won't sing the so called National Anthem either.

Trouble is, if it wasn't the Queen, who would we have as Head of State? Not been able to come up with a sensible answer to this one yet.

Surely we'd elect one?And it would likely be the winning party leader. Although the Queen is "Head of State" she attends no summitts etc as such, it is always the PM, although you can argue he/she is her representative.

    Time we got shut anyhow.

Knowing this country we'd elect Elton John or Davina McCall. Nah, as much as I despise the royalty, we should keep them as paid figureheads. Certainly better than having a political head of state (imagine Maggie!) or some bumped up celeb.

In practical terms if not ceremonial the PM is head of State

I agree that unions have done a good job in the past.

But my experience of todays unions is that they do more harm than good! I can give you a load of examples about what i mean bu¨t we'll be here all day.

O and just so you know, my family have roots in darkest Wombwell and the miners!

I really don't think you've thought it out.

No cheese and union crisps, no union gravy, it doesn't bear thinking about.

Declare loyalty to the country. The crown is just one way I chose to express it.

    Fair enough.

I have loyalty to the country but none to the Royal Family.

    Scrap the National Curriculum

Source of stress to teachers - and a determent to learning.
