Education is the best example of conditioning. Nevermind teaching children about philosophical issues and getting them to ask questions about the world - instead just ram loads of **** down their throat that they have to parrot back in an exam. In the mean time flood them with pointless dumned down entertainment and PING!

yep education completely dummed down! Headteacher (I think she was headteacher) on breakfast this morning couldn't identify a barn owl, she said she knew it was an owl

 

yeah i saw her, unsurprisingly she didnt think it was important kids couldn't identify it, as we have books to do that.


Presumably it's not important I can add up, because we have calculators for that. Do I still get an 'A' ?

 

yeh it made me laugh, I'd just woken up, but I'm sure she said 'if you really need to know, you can use google or wikipedia...' and then said 'but being able to identify things is not what is important...'

The government wants to know all your stuff and they'll stop at nothing to get it and they made Islamic jihadism up to scare you into....er.....accepting the loss of some liberties so that they can find out how much you spend at Asda at the weekend and control you and that and anybody richer than me is in on it and they just want to cause wars so that....er....we get to kill lots of brown people and if we just ask the bad guys they'll stop being bad and the coppers are always watching you because it's really important that they know what you're doing especially freedom fighters like on this board and anyway it won't be me that gets blowed up so why shouldI care?</p>

 

I know all the characters from Big Brother...but I don't need to know what a Magpie is, if I needed to know I could always look on google or wikipedia!
