Blackberry Playbook 64gb, currently just £129. Runs Android apps, comes pre-loaded with DocsToGo, so full Office compatibility, HD cameras front & back, build-quality better than owt else I've seen. Lovely screen. Plays every video and audio format I've chucked at it (AC3 apart) RIM never marketed it properly and don't seem to quite know who to aim it at, but it's a fantastic tablet at an absolute steal of a price. I'd seriously consider it if you're looking at 7" tablets.
Cheers Gally. My thinking is that I've got a GS2, I'm getting the GS3 shortly and no point having an Android phone but then an iPad. Don't want to buy the apps again. I don't expect to need more than 16GB - reckon the 4.1 has swung it for me. Plus I'm too cool to follow everyone else and get an iPad.
I thought RIM were pulling Adroid app support from the playbook? Kind of put me off. Great price though http://androidcommunity.com/blackbe...oid-side-loading-for-fear-of-piracy-20120409/
The kind of rumour that's plagued the PB since launch, unfortunately. Belief was that anything already sideloaded would run on the new OS, but that you couldn't sideload anything new. I'm trying the 2.1 beta and everything appears to be okay, although what the final version of 2.1 will do is anyone's guess.
