    Two weekends ago I took Esmé to the seaside. So we start digging a hole on the beach and the bottom fills with water, at which point she says "Look Daddy, its the water table!"

    She's 3 years old.

    My dad used to be a geography teacher.

    I'm pretty sure the two are linked.
