Are you a Wednesday Fan in disguise......? to quote Jeff Stelling "YOUR AVIN A LAUGH MAN" Okay Davey aint Alex Ferguson. But he may be one day...... Fergy started somewhere and no doubt made mistakes in his ealry years but he learnt from them. What does change in management achieve? yet more Turmoil thats what!!! It would put us back years and probably mean we are involved in yet another relegation dog fight. As the new man would want to bring in his own players and change style of play..... can I just ask, if we did get rid of SD which super star manager would you replace him with? I was one of Simple Simon's biggest critics last season. But he proved me and many of his critics wrong last season and kept us in the division! This season the football has improved, he has improved the squad, he has secured another season of championship football and improved points tally from last season. Not to mention the FA Cup run. I would also say that this is the first time in a long while that I we have recieved praise from media/other fans and had so much media coverage...... And that we have players in our squad that are good enough to step up a level and a being linked with big money moves (this hasn't happened in years!!). This is sign of a good team. I really do feel that if we had Macken/Nyatanga over the christmas period and that we hadn't lost the likes of Muller & de Silva to injury we would be be sitting pretty in top half of the table and looking forward to a trip to Wembley in a few weeks for the cup final. So yes I agree Simon Davey has alot to learn, but he has proved to me that he more than deserves his job at Oakwell...... If you don't agree and you would prefer we throw away what we have and what he is building I suggest you go down the road to Hillsborough and watch Wednesday! they could do with a few more moaning fans to bring their club down to the lower leagues!!!! So there.
Bet you were also one of those that wanted Spackman in. And if we had gone down would you still be there next season.
