I'll write to the league and ask them to move us into the play off spots then as the odd goal doesn't matter
One tactic I don't agree with is pulling everyone back when the opposition have a corner. Today at a Southend corner EVERY player bar their goalkeeper was in our final THIRD of the pitch, not just our half of the pitch. Surely it would be better to leave one if not two players upfield when they have a corner. One player up = two of theirs in attendance. Two left up = 3 or 4 of theirs staying back. There's little point for example in pulling 5ft 6inches Dan Crowley back to defend a corner.
knew you wouldn't like it ,hope I am proved right and its soon us getting the looping shots going in and goalkeeper mistakes going our way, time will tell, start by beating Walsall
And other team's defenders defending poorly, and other team's midfield not creating anything, and other team's strikers not moving into space or taking their chances . . .
so if the opposition goalkeeper lets a goal in at his near post, you wouldn't say we were lucky to score there
Nothing to do with luck. Bad management. Slow passing football that allows the opposition to get men behind the ball & counter. I don't tend to do many aways but I've seen it several times at home games. We're easy to play against for any well organised side. If we want to talk about luck I could argue we should be 3 points worse off after beating a Burton side that were a lot better than us on the day
